LievenLieven RottiersModeratorHi,
In the next release, some special character problems should be fixed.
If you wish you can send me an email at info@audiostreamer.org and I can send you a zip with the new release (v3.1) so you can test if the problem still happens…
Regards,
LievenLieven RottiersModeratorIndeed, good request, I will try to get it in the next release.
Lieven RottiersModeratorHi,
In firefox v52, the problem seems resolved.

First be sure AudioStreamer works on the pc where you did the install.
==>Are you able to run AudioStreamer on the pc where it is installed, through http://localhost:9090 ?If that works, then it is something with portforwarding or other security settings in your network.
Let me know,
Regards,
LievenLieven RottiersModeratorHi,
Thanks for mentioning.
Indeed, as you describe, firefox v51 plays the first song and subsequent songs don’t play (output sound), the seek bar is moving, but no sound…It has something to do with the sound visualizations (Web Audio Api).
If you turn off the visualizations, then it all works again.
To turn off, go to “settings” and uncheck “Enable music visualisations.”
(Or use another browser off course…)
This is just a quick way to be able to play songs.I’ll have to investigate it further, and come back when I found something.
Regards,
LievenLieven RottiersModeratorHi,
Will change this in the following release.
Thanks for letting me know.Regards,
LievenLieven RottiersModeratorHi,
I have not tested it myself but I guess AS might run on a Raspberry Pi. For AS to work you need php7 and nginx.
I found this article in which is explained how to get nginx and php7 running on a Raspberry Pi…
https://getgrav.org/blog/raspberrypi-nginx-php7-devLooks interesting.
Regards,
LievenLieven RottiersModeratorHi,
Randomize the playlist is included in the next release.
Seeking in the playbar is also included.
Testing the release for the moment…Regards,

Thanks for using AudioStreamer.
If you are able to use AudioStreamer on your wifi, then as far as AudioStreamer is concerned, everything is running fine.
I guess you are using AudioStreamer through http://localhost:9090 ?
Then you should make sure port 9090 is forwarded on your router to the computer on which AudioStreamer is installed. This differs for every router, but is always something like “traffic to 9090” will be forwarded to computer “192.168.0.xxx” (here you need the internal ip-address of the computer). To access AudioStreamer from outside, you need the external ip-address of the router.
You can view this external ip-address via eg: http://ip4.me/ (eg: 123.45.84.89)
(i’m using the ipv4 ip-address)
And then access AudioStreamer through http://123.45.84.89:9090Hope this helps.

LievenLieven RottiersModeratorHi,
Thanks for using AudioStreamer.
If you want to play something else than mp3 files, make sure you check the “Resample (transcode)” option in the “settings”:
—————————————————————————-
Resample (transcode) files to mp3-format.
For resampling to work you need “ffmpeg.exe” and “lame.exe” in your root directory (same folder where ‘AudioStreamer.exe’ resides). The resampling will be performed in your specified bitrate.
Due to legal reasons it’s not possible to include FFmpeg and Lame. You can download “ffmpeg.exe” here: http://ffmpeg.zeranoe.com/builds
You can download “lame.exe” here: http://www.rarewares.org/mp3-lame- bundle.phpMore info:
http://www.ffmpeg.org
http://lame.sourceforge.net/index.phpIf you uncheck this then AudioStreamer streams the file as it is. This will only work if your files are in mp3-format.

LievenLieven RottiersModeratorHi,
Great to hear you like AudioStreamer.
The new release is almost finished, have to find the time to update the manual, etc..
– nginx 1.7.2 instead of mongoose
– upgraded getID3 from 1.9.3 to 1.9.8
– fixed replay gain reading for m4a files
– added “shuffle” button in playlist view
– background colors in waveform and oscilator visualization
– removed jPlayer: only html5 audio element is supported, no more flash fallback
– change the meaning of the indicator “desktop” so that if unchecked, the button “Desktops” also dissapears for that user.
– search field “genre” included in the “search” view…
– ordering of songs was on path, now it is first track-nr and then path (if path/songname does not include track-nr, it was alfabetically)
– clearing playlist leaves currently playing song, and if in radio-mode, fetches new song
– audio progressbar is seekable
– visualization waveform changed: extra indication of loudness (rms value) and dynamic range (orange = difference between peak and fast(er) rms)
– possible to include multiple folders (separated by a semi-colon)
– extra new layout
– php upgrade from 5.3 naar 5.6
– included a linux versionHave not yet used GitHub.
(I’m a bit short on time for the moment to take this change, but might consider it in the future.)I’m glad to see you like it, and I love to see what you make of it…keep me informed.

LievenLieven RottiersModeratorHi ztod,
Thanks for using AudioStreamer.
For the moment there are no plans to develop a version for windows 10 Iot. Thanks anyway…regards,
LievenLieven RottiersModeratorHi,
For the moment this is not possible.
But it’s been asked before and seems a nice feature.
I’ll keep it in mind…Regards,
